Gogo-Kill Bill Volume 1 Sadistic Teenager Bodyguard

Kill Bill the movie was written and Directed by Quentin Tarantino. There are two parts to Kill Bill. Volume 1 was released in 2003. Volume 2 was released in 2004. Kill Bill starts after a massacre at a chapel. The main character Known as The Bride is Beatrix Kiddo. The Brides finance and friends are kill at the chapel. The Bride was also thought to be kill by the Deadly Viper Squad. The Bride actually survived and was in a coma for four years. When the Bride come out of the coma, she plots her revenge on the killers.

On her quest for vengeance, Beatrix Kiddo is out to kill all the members of the Deadly Viper Squad. Among the member of the Deadly Viper Squad is O-Ren Ishii. O-ren Ishii code name for the Deadly Viper Squad is Cottonmouth(portrayed by Luci Liu. O-Rens parents where brutally murdered by a Japanese Mob boss when she was nine years old. Two years after the murder of her parents, O-Ren kills the Japanese mob boss. She later becomes an expert assassin. She is a proficient sniper marksman and sword fighter. After leaving the Deadly Vipers, she becomes the Head of the Tokyo Yakuza. As the Head of the Tokyo Yakuza, O-Ren has her own body-guard army. The body-guard arm of O-Ren is called the Crazy 88.

The Crazy 88 was hired by O-Ren to take control of the Tokyo Underworld. The Cray 88 are a masked gang. The Crazy 88 members are both male and female and have a wide age range. Most members of the Crazy 88 use a katana. A katana is a single edge, curved sword most notably associated with the samurai. Another associate of O-Ren is Gogo Yabari.

Gogo YabaroGogo is O-Rens personal bodyguard and top assassin. Gogo is described as a severely disturbed 17-year old shoolgirl who take a sadistic delight in killing. Gogo sadistic personality is revilled at a bar. Gogo is talking to a drunk man. She ask the drunk man if he want to screw her? The man laugh and Gogo replies Dont laugh! Do you want to screw me, yes or no? The man of course replies Yes and Gogo stick him in the stomach with her katana sword. Gogo ask him How bout now, big boy? Do you still want to penetrate me or is it I who has penetrated your. The next time Gogo appears is at The House of blues Leaves Restaurant. In a priviate dining area O-ren is sittting between your two personal body quards, They are the Yabari sisters, Yuki and GOgo. Yuie is Sixteen and Gogo is seventeen. The Yabari sisters are dressed in Japanese schoolgirl uniforms complete with plaid skirts and matching blazers.

The Bride arrives and after killing, slashing and cutting off limbs of 23 members of the Crazy 88. Gogo steps forward and removes her weapon. Her weapon is not a samurai sword but a heavy metal ball at the end of a long chain. She begins to twirl it above her head.

Gogo's Chain Mace

She hurls it at the bride head. The brides ducks out of the way, and the heavy chain mace destroys a large chunk of the wood post behind the bride. Gogos eyes focus on here enemy. She lets the chain mace fly. The ball and chains wrap around the blade of the Hanzo katana sword . Gogo yanks the hanzo katana sword out of the brides grip. Gogo smile. The bride throws her boomerrang at Gogo. The boomerang twirls through the air right for Gogo. Gogo swats the boomerang out of the air with her chain mace. She then lets the chain mace fly at the bride. It strikes the bride in the chest, knocking her on her back. Gogo twirls it over her head and sends it towards the Bride on the Floor. The Bride rolls out of the way and the spiked metal ball punches a hole in an overturned table. The Bride hops on a table, with a table leg in hand. The bride is ready to fight. Gogo hops up on another table. They fight hop from table to table.

Gogo throw her ball and chain and the bride bats it away with the table leg. Gogo lets loose with the ball and chain and it wraps around the brides ankle. Gogo yanks the chain and the bride falls crashing through a table. Gogo jumps on top of the Bride, attacking her with a samurai short sword. The Bride uses the table leg to block it. They fight fiercly, Gogo get her earlobe bit by the Bride. Gogo screams as the lower part of the earlobe is bitten off. She rolls off the Bride. The Bride comes at her with the table leg. Gogo is hit in the head. Gogo falls on her back and delivers a powerful C.K. to the Bride. The Brides drops to her knees. Gogo wraps the chain around the Brides neck and begins to strangle her. The chain diggs into the Bridess throat. The Bride brings the table leg, with a couple of nasty looking nails in it, hard against Gogo thigh. The nails cut through the plaid school uniform shirt into her flesh. The Bride rips out the nails taking some leg meat with them. Gogo lets out a horrific scream. The Bride brings the table leg down on the tow of the youn girls whit tennis shoe. The nails stick in and the white shoe becomes stained with blood. Gogo screams and lets loose the chain around the Brides neck. She falls to the floor. The Bride unwraps the chain from her neck. Gogo tries to escape dragging her injured bloody leg. The Bride rises from the floor. She begins to twirl Gogos chain mace above her head. Gogo makes it up the stairs to the second floor. The Bride lets loose the ball and chain. It hits Gogo in the back of the head. Gogo tumbles down the staircase landing at the Brides feet. Gogo is the only opponant that came close to defeating the Bride.

Gogo was played by Chiaki Kuriyama.

Chiaki Kuriyama

She was born on October 10, 1984. Chiaki is a Japanaese actress and model. She was born in Tsuchiura, Ibaraki. Chiaki was a popular model during Japans child model boon in the mid -1990s. Chiaki has appeared in photobooks and films. To her credit she was in the photobook Shinwa-shojo (Girl of Myth) and Shojookan (Girls Residence). Chiaki had a staring role in the horror films Shikoku and Ju-on and achieved widespread recognition as an actress in Japan. Chiaki also appeared in the action film Battle Royale as Takako Chigusa. She has also appeared on the Japaneses televisions programs Other films that Chiaki has appeared in are Azumi 2: Death or love and Takashi Miikes Youkai Daisenso. In 2010, she released the CD single Ryusei no Namida on Defstar records as CHiAKi KURiYAMA.

The Chain mace used by Gogo is a very rare weapon that requires a lot of skill to effectively use. Most of the characters used a katana sword. Beowulf

Beowulf is an old English poem. The poem was written sometime between 8th and 11th century by an unknown Anglo-Saxon poet. The poem survived in a single copy called Norwell Codex. The Norwell Codex is now located in the British Library.

Beowulf is the story of a Geats hero. Beowulf battles three adversaries. The first is Grendel. Grendel is thought of as a monster. Grendel is attacking the Danes in the mead hall known as Heorot. Beowulf comes to aid Hroogar the king of the Danes with his monster grendel. Beowulf and his men spend a night in the great hall Heorot. Grendel comes and attacks Beowulf's men eating one of them. Beowulf is unarmed and fights Grendel. Beowulf tears Grendel's arm off. Grendel return to his home to die. The next night Grendel's mother attacks the hall for revenge for the killing of Grendel. Hroogar, Beowulf and his men go to Grendel's mother lair. Beowulf is given the magic sword Hrunting by Unferth. Beowulf dives into the lake and is drugged to the bottom by Grendel's mother. The engage in a fierce fight in a cavern where Grendel's body is. Beowulf's armor protect him during the battle. Beowulf discards his magic sword Hrunting because it could not harm Grendel's mother. He then grabs a mighty sword of the giants from Grendel's mother's armory. The mighty sword of the giants could not be lifted by any other man in battle. Beowulf decapitates Grendel's mother. Hroogar presents Beowulf with his family sword Naegling.

Beowulf returns home. He eventually becomes king of his people. Late in Beowulf life a slave steals a golden cup from the lair of a dragon. The dragon enraged from the stealing of the golden cup is burning every thing. Beowulf and his warriors go to fight the dragon. Beowulf is wounded by the dragon and his warriors run away in fear. Wiglaf stay to fight the dragon with Beowulf. The two of them slay the dragon and Beowulf die. Beowulf is cremated and buried with the dragons treasure. Beowulf did not have the treasure distributed to his people because of the curse on it.

Beowulf 2007

Beowulf the epic Anglo-Saxon poem was made into an animated film and released in November 2007. Beowulf was directed by Robert Zemeckis. This film follows the original story of Beowulf but the writers do make changes to the story.

Beowulf the film begins with a celebration in the newly built great hall of Heorot. Hroogar the king of the Danes is drunk and his men are partying. Hroogar proclaims that in this hall we will divide the spoils of their conquest the gold and the treasure. The hall will be a play of merriment, joy, and fornication. He hands out some treasure from their conquest. His men begin to chant and sign. The sound of their merriment carries through the mountain to Grendel's lair. The noise irritates Grendel. Grendel breaks open the door to the hall and all goes dark. Grendel enters the hall and starts to attack the Danes inside. Hroogar is looking for a sword. The danes attack Grendel with swords, spears, and battle axes but their weapon can not harm Grendel. His rips some of the men in two. Hroogar challenges Grendel to fight. Hroogar with sword in head is approached by Grendel. Grendel leaves without killing Hroogar. Grendel returns to his lair and his mother asks him what he has done. The next morning Hroogar has the great hall of Heorot board shut. By the Kings order their is to be no sing or merriment of any kind. Hroogar proclaims that he will give any man half the gold in his kingdom to any man who can ride them of Grendel Beowulf is at sea traveling to Hroogar's kingdom. It is storming. Beowulf and his army land at Hroogar's kingdom. They are approached by a guard. The guard ask them who they are. Beowulf introduces them and tells that he is there to kill their monster. Beowulf tells the guard that if they die it will be for glory and not gold. Beowulf is taken to Hroogar. Beowulf tells him that he is there to kill his monster. The King has the mead hall reopened. They prepare the mead hall for a party that night. Beowulf tell the story of his swimming race where he was attacked by sea monsters. He killed 29 of them with his dagger. Later that night, they are in the great hall and Hroogar shows Beowulf the golden dragon cup. Hroogar tells Beowulf how to kill a dragon. Hroogar retires to his chamber leaving his queen in the hall to sing one more melody. When the melody is finished, the queen leaves when Beowulf starts to undress. Beowulf is naked to fight Grendel on equal term. The sound from the queens melody irritates Grendel. The hall is sealed. Beowulf has his men sing while he sleeps. They sing to bring Grendel to the great hall. There is a knock at the door. One of Beowulf's men goes to open the door and Grendel breaks through. Grendel attacks the Geats. Beowulf puts out Grendels blue flame. One of his men attacks Grendel with a classic viking type sword. Beowulf begins to fight Grendel. He can not hurt Grendel until he notices a weak spot near Grendels's ear. Beowulf on Grendel's back punches the weak spot which shrinks Grendel in size. Grendel arm gets wrapped up in a chain. Grendel runs for the door while Beowulf wraps the chain around post in the hall to stop him. Grendel is stopped at the door. Beowulf slides naked across the floor, kicks the door shut trapping Grendel's arm in the door. Beowulf is smashing Grendels arm between the door. Grendel ask who he is. Beowulf proclaims the he is ripper, tearer, slasher, gouger, Iam the teeth in the darkness, the challenge in the night, mine is strength and lust and power. I am BEOWULF!! and his rips off Grendel's arm. Grendel returns to his lair to die. Before dieing Grendel tell his mother how killed him. Example of the type of sword used during Beowulf's era:
Hroogar present Beowulf with the golden dragon cup for killing Grendel. The next night Grendel's mother goes to the mead hall and kills all of Beowulf's men. Beowulf and Wiglaf who was not in the hall survive. The two of them are going to kill Grendel's mother. Beowulf is presented with the magic sword Hrunting. In the movie, Hrunting is similar to the Celtic Warrior sword

Beowulf and Wiglaf go to the lair of Grendel's mother. Beowulf goes into the cavern alone. He used the golden dragon cup to light his way. Beowulf is confronted by Grendel's mother (an animated almost naked Angelina Jolie). They do not fight. Grendel's mother seduces Beowulf. She offers Beowulf riches and the greatest king that has ever lived as long as he held her in his heart and the golden dragon cup remains with her. The magic sword is dissolved. Beowulf returns to the kingdom and tells the story of how he killed Grendel's mother. Hroogar speak with Beowulf alone. Hroogar knows that Beowulf did not kill Grendel's mother. Beowulf does not answer the question. Hroogar announces to his kingdom that because he has no heirs that upon his death Beowulf will inherit his kingdom and all his possessions. Hroogar with his sword in hand walks to the edge of the wall and walks off falling to his death. Beowulf becomes the greatest king that ever lived. Many years later, Beowulf army is attacked. There is a great battle scene with the soldiers using swords and battle axes. Beowulf's army slaughters the invaders. One is left alive and tries to kill Beowulf. Beowulf challenges the invader to kill him but he does not. Beowulf tell him the reason he can not kill him is because Beowulf died many years ago. In the great hall, the story of Beowulf is told and reenacted. After the reenactment, the golden dragons cup is presented to the King Beowulf. The golden dragons cup was found by a slave and returned to the king. In a dream, Beowulf returns to the lair of Grendel's mother. In the cave, Beowulf is confronted by the son he had with Grendel's mother. That night a village is attacked by a fire breathing dragon. Beowulf learns he is the father of the dragon. Beowulf prepares to battle the dragon. Beowulf and Wiglaf return to Grendel's mother lair. Again Beowulf enters the cave alone. Beowulf talks to Grendel's mother and returns the golden dragon cup. The dragon arises and shouts fire out of the cave. The Dragon is headed from the kingdom with Beowulf following. Beowulf on horse back uses a battle axe with a rope to cast into the dragons back. Beowulf is hanging onto the rope the dragon is pulling and hitting the tops of the tree with his sword. Beowulf is cast off the dragon. The dragon is burning the kingdom when Beowulf jumps from a bridge to get back onto the dragon. Beowulf stubs his dagger into the dragon to hold on to it. The dragon goes under water and cast Beowulf off. Beowulf uses an achor and chain to get back onto the dragon. The dragon attacks the bridge in the castle where the queen and Beowulf's mistress is . Beowulf cut the dragons wing and it falls from flight. The dragon soon begins to fight again. Beowulf sees the weak spot in the dragons neck and cuts it open. He tries to stab the heart with his dagger but is unable to reach the heart. Beowulf's arm is wrapped in the chain so he cuts his arm almost off at the shoulder to give himself more reach. His next attempt, the dragons fire burns him and he drops the dagger. Beowulf being the hero he has always been does not give up. He kicks off the dragon, reaches into the opening, grabs the heart and rips it out. Both Beowulf and the dragon fall to the beach. The dragon transfers back into a man. Beowulf dies on the beach. Before dieing Beowulf tell Wiglaf that he has named him king after Beowulf's death. Beowulf is laid to rest on a ship that is sent out to sea. The ship is set on fire. At the end Wiglaf finds the golden dragons cup and see Grendel's Mother. Will he became part of the curse. The movie Beowulf does not quite follow the original poem. The under lying meaning behind the stories is reflected through out the movie. Beowulf is not only a story of a hero it is also a story but the rise of Christianity and the lord Jesus Christ. If you watch and listen closely you will hear Unfeth speak of the Lord Jesus Christ through the film as it is in the original poem. Beowulf the movie is an action pack adventure. It is unique in its animation the character are almost real. There are a lot of battle in this movie. The battle scenes used swords, spears and battle axes as the weapons. King Leonidas Sword

In my previous blog, I discussed the spartan sword from the movie 300. There are many weapons that can be purchased form this movie. The main weapons used by the 300 Spartans where the spear, shields, and the spartan sword. Leonidas the the king of the Spartan. He is approached by a Persian Messenger, that asked Leonidas to offer earth and water to the Persian King Xerxes. This was not an offer that Leonidas was willing to accept. He kills the messenger by pushing him into a well along with his men. Leonidas goes to see the Ephors for permission to go to was with the Persians. Leonidas takes them his offering of gold. The Ephors consult an oracle. The oracle declares the Spartan must not wage war during the religious festival. Leonidas follow his plan disregarding the Oracles proclamation. It is against Spartan Law to not follow the Ephors. Leonidas has 300 of the best Spartan soldiers assemble to go for a walk as his personal body guards. When the council member approach Leonidas, Leonidas tells them he did not issue a war decree and the he and his 300 personal body guards are going for a walk. When ask where, Leonidas tell them north to the hot gate. Leonidas and his 300 personal body guards start their walk. They have their shields, spears, and sword. From October 6 1996 until April 6 2007, the Japanese anime series Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto was broadcasted. Bakumasu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto was created by Ryosuke Takahashi and Sunrise. The story take place during the Bakumatsu era. The main character is Akizuki Yojiro. Akizuki is a dark and mysterious mercenary. Akizuki is drawn to something supernatural his sword hilt waves in its direction and he has a mysterious glow to his eyes. Akizuki Yorjiro joins a traveling theater group. This group is out for revenge for the killing of the parenst of the leader of the group.

The Colichemarde, a descendant of the rapier, is a special type of blade. It is considered to be a member of the small sword category. The Colichemarde became popular with the decline of the rapier in the late 1600's to the middle of the 18th Century. The Colichemarde has a uniquely shaped blade. The blade is extra wide at the forte. The blade steps down from wide to narrow for the rest of its length. The blade ends with a wicked point.
